-Quotes are a great way of telling people what you want to say without telling them directly.
-Telling a story like this allows the messages you want to go straight into the unconscious without raising conscious resistance.
-Embedding quotes in quotes allows you to overload a person’s conscious mind and send them into a more suggestible state.
-Someone told me that Milton Erickson told one of his clients to “Go into a deep trance”. I’m not sure if that made them go into trance straight away or whether he had to repeat “go into trance” several times because some people can go into trance easily while others require a bit more of a push.
-The power of this technique in conversational hypnosis, sales, management, NLP training and coaching is astronomical.
-You can say whatever you want to people by quoting other people. Someone told me to "use quotes to increase your covert influence skills" so I did.
